16 executives from Australia embarked on the SAGE UK 2019 study tour.
From March 2nd to 14th 2019, a delegation of 16 executives from Australia embarked on the SAGE UK 2019 study tour, looking to gain fresh insights into care delivery for their organisations.

The focus of the tour was to investigate the delivery of age care services and seniors living in the United Kingdom. Each day focused on a different theme, from integrated communities to memory care. The visits, selected for their excellence, built up an exhaustive comprehension of age care in England.

In London, the participants enjoyed the best of the British expertise at the Royal Chelsea Hospital. In the Surrey, they visited the Royal Star & Garter Homes, a specialized organisation that provides the very best nursing and dementia care to veterans and their partners. In Bath, they discovered the innovative approach of the Saint Monica Trust, a trust that runs an award-winning village accommodation, care homes, specialist short-term care facilities, domiciliary care and dedicated dementia facilities.

Over the course of twelve days, the delegates visited twelve separate facilities owned and operated by twelve different organisations. The participants appreciated the diversity of the program and the richness of the approaches that allowed them to gain new perspectives on age care to bring back home.
