South Korean delegates explore the French health system at FEHAP

On 23 October 2025, a South Korean delegation taking part in a Daihan Policy Institute (DPI) programme was introduced at FEHAP in Paris to how France’s healthcare and social care system is organised.
On 23 October 2025, Dialog Health organised a one-day introduction to France’s healthcare and social care system in Paris for a South Korean delegation, as part of a programme by the Daihan Policy Institute (DPI). Hosted by FEHAP, the delegates came to better understand how the French model is organised and the issues shaping healthcare and support services.
FEHAP: understanding the organisations and the system
The Fédération des établissements hospitaliers et d’aide à la personne privés solidaires (FEHAP), the French federation of private non-profit healthcare and social care organisations, provided the institutional setting for the meeting. The programme included a presentation of the French social care system by Antoine Fraysse, FEHAP’s Director of Autonomy and Life-Course Coordination, followed by discussion with the delegation.

The presentations covered the foundations of the French model, its strengths, its challenges and innovations under way. Their purpose was to give participants an understanding of the context in which healthcare and support services operate.
Putting health systems into perspective
The one-day visit centred on an institutional presentation and discussion with the speakers. It offered South Korean visitors an introduction to the French system, with room for questions and comparison between national contexts.
For an international delegation, this kind of meeting provides a way to consider practices alongside the organisations responsible for them, the issues they address and the changes being discussed. This overview shaped the Paris visit to FEHAP.
